A disabled sport person.
Jose Vicente Gómez (16/09/1948), is a Colombian Paralympic athlete.
He lost his left leg on a traffic accident in April 1993.

·The accident:
Gomez was waiting for some friends on a platform next to the Cali River to go to training, when he was hit by a tank truck. When he was driving at the clinic, he went to sleep.
Then,when he wokw up he heard they were going to out his leg.
To please Gomez, doctors decided to wait. But gangrene appeared.
First, he was amputated from the knee down.
As infection continued, they had to cut from mid-thigh.
For him, being disabled isn't a n obstacle. He trains like an elite athlete.
He even feels better than when he had two legs. gomez said that ten years ago he used crutches to continue his life as an athlete.
Without a leg, Gomez never thought of running again.
He only returned to have contact with sport two years later, when he began training a friend.
He said: "Drop these crutches and run". And there he was getting into. 
His best record is 21km in 2h43min and 10km in 1h10.
